WRA Mission
The Women Run Arkansas Running club, an RRCA organization, was formed in 2000 in response to the need for a statewide women's running and walking club
The mission of the WRA is to address the special needs of women's fitness, while promoting health and fitness through running and walking.
The WRA is the organizing force behind free women's clinics, which are held for 10 weeks each spring. The first clinic was held in Conway, Arkansas in 1997. Since then, clinics have been held throughout Central Arkansas and the state. At the end of each clinic, the WRA club sponsors the Women Can Run 5K Run/Walk in Conway to celebrate the successful completion of the clinics, regardless of whether or not you participated in the clinics. This 5k race is open to all women. A Mother/Daughter division is also included. The 2010 race will be held on May 8th.
